Colorado Data Mail
Colorado Data Mail (CDM) opened its doors for business early in 1982 under the management of our president and owner, Todd Bacon. The focus of our company remains the same today as it was then: state-of-the-art data processing and production services for companies and non-profit organizations needing high-volume mailing services. Since the beginning, we have been driven by a dual mission of reaching for continual improvement in knowledge, technology and efficiency to benefit our clients and striving for unparalleled customer service. Simply put, we are here to make mailings go smoothly.
CDM produces mail in our 20,000 square-foot facility near the highway intersection of Interstate-25 and 6th Avenue on the southwest edge of downtown Denver. We typically handle mailing projects that range from a thousand pieces up to half a million pieces. We have dock-high doors and storage capacity for several hundred pallets.
We welcome your inquiries. Click on "Contact" to get in touch with us regarding upcoming projects, or try "Get A Quote" to receive a free, no obligation quote from us on a specific mailing.

Services Colorado Data Mail provides a full range of services relating to data processing and mail preparation: Data Processing CDM runs BCC's Mail Manager 2010 for our address standardization, postal coding, and presorting software. We supplement Mail Manager with Peoplesmith's "Right Fielder" for repairing problem files and "Double Take" for merge-purge processes. We use Jet Letter for creating personalized letters and forms, in conjunction with HP 5si cut-sheet laser printers. In addition to these basic tools for our industry, we run numerous other types of software that allows us to load files from different types of output media and convert files from a variety of file formats. Please contact [email protected] with specific questions. Consulting Our sales and customer service staff is ready to help you with your questions pertaining to your mailings. We deal with postal matters all day long. If we don't know the answers to your questions, we can find out who does. Contact us at [email protected] Our objective is to get your project on its way to the Post Office as quickly and efficiently as possible. Ink-Jet Addressing We do almost all of our addressing and messaging with Scitex printers that offer high-quality imaging and barcoding. We can run different sizes and types of mailers. While the ink is water-based, we have powerful Research Ink dryers in-line with the ink-jets that allow us to print on most stocks. If you are thinking of using a gloss or coated stock that you have not used successfully before, you might have us test a sample to make sure that the ink will adhere. Inserting We run Bell & Howell "Phillipsburg" inserters that have the capability of inserting as many as six inserts in envelopes up to 6 x 9½ inches. While it is recommended that folded inserts are "letter" folded or "C" folded, we do have Streamfeeders that help the inserting process with less than ideal stock. Please keep in mind when designing mail pieces that machine specifications call for a minimum ¼ inch clearance on the left, top, and right sides of the envelope after all the inserts are placed inside. Bindery In our Bindery Department, we have the capability of folding, bursting, affixing tabs to folded self-mailers, and affixing live stamps. The tabbing and stamping functions can run on-line with our ink-jet addressing equipment. Sorting, Handwork, Warehousing At CDM, we do sorting for all classes of domestic mail, including First Class Presort, Standard mail (the old Bulk Rate), periodicals, and parcels. We also handle international mail preparation. Over the years, we have done all kinds of hand assembly jobs. Most of these projects ultimately end up going in the mail, but not all of them do. Sometimes it seems like the only limit here is your creativity (and checkbook). With our 20,000 square-foot facility, we have the capacity to receive, inventory, and store the materials needed for your project.
